About Laura
Laura founded The Accounting Agency in 2021 to give small business owners, families and nonprofits the kind of hands-on financial support usually reserved for larger companies. Today the firm serves clients across Kingwood, the Lake Houston area and beyond, with tax preparation, monthly bookkeeping and advisory services.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Laura grew up as an expat in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and across Europe before moving to the United States as an international student. She graduated cum laude from the University of Houston’s C. T. Bauer College of Business with a double major in Accounting and Supply Chain Management.

Experience That Goes Beyond the Return
Before founding the firm, Laura spent more than 15 years in accounting and operations roles. She has been a controller for a construction company and a Houston distillery, and has held accounting and inventory roles in chemical and medical manufacturing.
She has run month-end closes, built budgets and forecasts, managed multi-state sales tax and designed internal controls, and she brings that experience to every client.
