  Laura Milner Bailey

Founder and CFO of The Accounting Agency LLC. Originally an expat from the United Kingdom, her family is well acquainted with the expat life. Laura spent her childhood living as an expat in countries such as The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,  Egypt, and others in Europe. She eventually came to the United States as an international student and graduated from the University of Houston with degrees in both Accounting and Supply Chain Management. 

Laura is currently a CPA candidate (2 sections passed), and also holds her Corporate Entrepreneurship Certificate (CEC), along with certifications as a Microsoft Excel Expert, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement certification, in addition to a Planning and Inventory Management certification through APICS.

With her diverse background and over 12 years of experience in Accounting and Supply Chain, Laura has worked in a wide variety of industries (click here for her professional resume). She thrives working with clients nationwide and internationally to help them understand their financials and provide guidance and reassurance in their financial endeavors.

It is her passion to assist clients in becoming more profitable, offering individuals and business owners a clear understanding their financial position.

For a long time, I believed ‘enough’ was something I was supposed to become. Chasing expectations that weren’t mine and measuring myself against comparisons that never really fit. Trying to do all the things for everything. Looking back at this version of me in 2022, I see someone who wasn’t (and isn’t) perfect, but kept building anyway. Nearly five years later, and despite not meeting everyone’s expectations, I’m proud of her. If there’s a lesson here for others trying to be ‘enough’, it’s this: You don’t have to do it all perfectly to be doing something meaningful. Building a life, a family, and a career at the same time will never look tidy…and that doesn’t mean you’re failing. Oh and TAX TIME IS HERE 🧾✨ Call me 📞☎️

Quick tax update 🚗💸 The IRS raised the standard mileage rate for business use to 72.5 cents per mile for 2026, up from 70 cents last year. Medical and moving mileage drops slightly to 20.5 cents, and charitable mileage stays put at 14 cents. These rates kick in January 1, 2026 and apply to gas, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles. Moral of the story? If you drive for business, track your mileage—because it adds up fast.
